Spring is here and the butterflies are once again flitting…

Knit a cheerful pair of butterfly flitting mitts for spring days with a slight chill still in the air.

Skills required:
Knitting in the round (either dpns or magic loop).
Stranded colourwork (although this is an easy one if you want to try it for the first time!)
Reading colourwork charts
Increasing
Decreasing
Picking up stitches for thumb (link to tutorial in pattern).

Materials:
80 (90) yards of main colour (sample used Drops Alpaca - Teal 2919
50 (55) yards of contrast colour 1 (sample used Drops Alpaca - Dark Lime 2916
12 (14) yards of contrast colour 2 (sample used Drops Alpaca - Orange 2915)
Other sport weight yarn could be substituted to achieve tension/gauge.
3.5mm / US 4 circular needle (using magic loop) or dpns
