For Early Summer
EARLY summer — that period as we know only too well, of sudden climatic changes, of sun, chill winds and cold nights intermingled in an exasperating way. The difficulty is to know how best to dress for these conditions. This charming jumper well solves the problem, for, in spite of giving a purely decorative effect, we see that it is made for warmth and comfort, too. Novelty appears in the smocking on the upper sleeves and yoke, but the list of attractions does not end here, for the rest of the garment is knitted in a most unusual stitch, and laces up the front with a two-toned tie. An ideal jumper to slip on when one is in doubt — to wear with a suit, or to wear with a matching skirt, if carried out in one of the new vivid shades, or equally well knitted in a clear pastel tint.
