This is not a detailed pattern, but rather instructions for achieving a crescent shaped shawl with a ruffled edge. The example shawl was deliberately made very plain to show the structure of the shawl and the general purpose of these instructions is to function as a stepping stone for knitters who want to design their own ruffled crescent shawl. Because of this there are no specific instructions on yarn or needles, though the pattern does include information of the yarns used for the two shawls pictured in it.

The original blue shawl was created by mistake by Ravelry user Mörkki. This pattern is an attempt to reverse engineer that mistake. The original shawl can be viewed here at Mörkki’s Ravelry page.

Tämä ei ole yksityiskohtainen neuleohje, vaan lähinnä kaava siitä, miten kudotaan sirppimuotoinen, reunastaan röyhelöinen huivi. Valkoinen esimerkkihuivi on tarkoituksella kudottu hyvin yksinkertaisena, jotta huivin rakenne näkyisi selvemmin. Sinisen alkuperäisen huivin neuloi Ravelryläinen nimeltä Mörkki. Alkuperäinen huivi oli vahinko, tulosta kolmiohuivia neulottaessa tapahtuneesta virheestä.
