<small>Ifigenia was first released as a Limited Edition Posh Yarn Kit in July 2011.

Ifigenia is a lacy, swirly, semi-circular thing of beauty, knitted sideways in one go, edging, borders and all.

Note: There are no rest rows! This is designed for those of us who sometimes grow tired of endless purling-back rows.
Then again, there are no endless rows on ifigenia -- for it is knitted in 6 (or 7) identical wedges, which means that the rows grow shorter and shorter for each wedge until you knit back across the short rows to begin the next wedge.

Beading is optional (but by all means do bead!!!)

Blocked measurements:
Neck - bottom border: 80+ cm (32”)
Wingspan: 180 cm (71”)

I used size 8 silverlined cobalt beads from Pärltorget (with truly fabulous bending-over-backwards customer service -- a very nice find!) -- and using the mini-mini crochet hook (US13/14 – 0.9 mm) she sent, made beading almost easy even for moi.

A big thank you to my fabulous test knitters!!!
