This pattern is for a longer, cabled, beanie-style hat that works for a range of head sizes. It is long enough to cover the ears and length is easily adjusted. The pattern contains four sizes to accommodate infant through adult medium head sizes. Head sizes vary greatly, but the sizes will fit approximately:

newborn/infant
baby/toddler
child/adolescent
small/med adult

The stretchiness of the hat is perfect for babies and toddlers whose heads grow so quickly! Making a larger size and folding up the brim is a great option for the longest wear.

The cabled pattern is both charted and written. There are also written instructions included for cabling with and without a cable needle. As a bonus, there are instructions for modifying the infant size with Aran weight wool.
