Errata I don’t have time to rewrite this pattern and the word document from the original is long gone unfortunately. So, the error is that the newborn numbers don’t match up.

The easiest way to fix this is to do 12 sts for the ear flap and then follow the brim cast on as written.

If you prefer smaller ear flaps you can knit them as written and then add 2 sts to the front brim and 2 sts to the back brim.

Either of those solutions will leave you with the correct number of newborn sts (60)
