This year I designed a tablerunner that you can knit on the 24 days of Advent, every day a little bit.
In case that you don’t need a tablerunner simply knit a scarf :)

And the whole pattern was made with the YouKnits lace basic set :)

Versions of the pattern

This year I present the pattern in two versions:

Version ‘stockinette/garter’:

that’s how I knitted the tablerunner and this version has only knit stitches between the rows of holes, in the back rows you can decide whether you always knit (stockinette) or always purl (garter)
All English daily instruction files are named unikatissima_lc109_poinsettia_st_dd, where dd is the day.

Version ‘knit-purl’:

that’s how I knitted the scarf and there I filled the areas between the rows of holes alternately with knit stitches and purl stitches.
All English daily instruction files are named unikatissima_lc109_poinsettia_kp_dd, where dd is the day.

Additionally I present – so to speak in passing – the patterns of six placemats matching the tablerunner:

The instruction file is named unikatissima_lc109_poinsettia_pm.

About the pattern:

• This year the pattern is ‘complete’, i.e. not meant to be repeated in height or width.
• The pattern is
  – 51 stitches wide (without edge stitches),
  – needs at least 2 edge stitches extra and
  – the total length are 482 rows.
• It is made symmetrical, so if you think that it is
  – too wide, leave out the same number of stitches at begin and end of every row and
  – too long, leave out the same number of rows at the begin and end.
  The following items would e.g. look beautiful:
  – from day 2 row 5 to day 23 row 18 = 434 rows
  – from day 3 row 9 to day 22 row 14 = 386 rows
  – from day 6 row 13 to day 19 row 9 = 258 rows

About the finished items:

Please bear in mind: the size always depends on your gauge and also on the way you knit – I’m always knitting very loosely.

For the tablerunner I
* knitted about 575 m white cotton crochet thread (100 g ca. 580 m)
(575 m are about 629 yards – 580 m are about 635 yards) with

• 4 mm needles
  
• in the version ‘stockinette/garter‘ of the pattern and
  
• got a tablerunner of about 28 x 166 cm/11 x 65 inches without garter border and
  
• of about 30 x 168 cm12 x 66 inches with a border of
  8 rows garter stitch at the begin and end and
  4 stitches garter stitch at the begin and end of every row

Depending on my daily energie I knitted a daily pattern section in 30 – 35 min.

For the scarf I

• knitted about 515 m/563 yards acrylic yarn (200 g ca. 665 m/727 yards) (Belday Hit Handarbeitsgarn, dark pink)
• with 4 mm needles
• in the version ‘knit-purl’ of the pattern and
• got a scarf of about 30 x 156 cm/12 x 61 inches without garter border and
• of about 35 x 160 cm /14 x 63 inches) with a border of
  8 rows garter stitch at the begin and end and
  4 stitches garter stitch at the begin and end of every row

Depending on my daily energie I knitted a daily pattern section in 35 – 40 min.

For every placemat I

• knitted about 90 m/99 yards white cotton crochet thread (100 g ca. 580 m/635 yards)
• 4 mm needles
• in the version ‘stockinette/garter‘ of the pattern and
• got placemats of about 28 x 20 cm/11 x 8 inches without garter border and
• of about 30 x 22 cm/12 x 9 inches with a border of
  6 rows garter stitch at the begin and end and
  3 stitches garter stitch at the begin and end of every row

I knitted a placemat in barely 2 hours.

Dieses Jahr habe ich einen Tischläufer ent­worfen, den Du an den 24 Tagen des Advents stricken kannst, jeden Tag ein Stück.
Solltest Du keinen Tischläufer brauchen, strick‘ einfach einen Schal :)

Und das ganze Muster wurde mit dem YouKnits lace basic set gemacht :)

Versionen des Musters

Ich stelle dieses Jahr das Muster in zwei Versionen zur Verfügung:

Version ‘glatt rechts/kraus’:
s. das Bild unikatissima’s lace poinsettia - version ‘stockinette/garter’
so habe ich den Tischläufer gestrickt und diese Version enthält nur rechte Maschen zwischen den Lochreihen, in der Rückreihe strickst Du nach Belieben immer rechte Maschen (glatt rechts) oder immer linke Maschen (kraus).
Die Anleitungsdateien heißen unikatissima_lc109_poinsettia_st_dd, wobei dd der Tag ist.

Version ‘rechts-links’:
s. das Bild unikatissima’s lace poinsettia - version ‘knit-purl’
so habe ich den Schal gestrickt und bei dem habe ich die Flächen zwischen den Löchern mit abwechselnd rechten und linken Maschen gefüllt.
Die Anleitungsdateien heißen unikatissima_lc109_poinsettia_kp_dd, wobei dd der Tag ist.

Außerdem stelle ich – sozusagen nebenbei – die Muster für sechs zum Tischläufer passende Platzdeckchen zur Verfügung:

Die Anleitungsdatei heißt unikatissima_lc109_poinsettia_pm.

Über das Muster:

• Dieses Jahr ist das Muster ‘vollständig’, d.h., nicht gedacht, um in der Länge oder Breite wiederholt zu werden.
• Das Muster ist
  – 51 Maschen breit (ohne Randmaschen),
  – erfordert mindestens 2 Randmaschen extra und
  – die Gesamtlänge sind 482 Reihen.
• Es ist symmetrisch aufgebaut, wenn Du es also denkst, es wäre
  – zu breit, lass‘ bitte gleich viele Maschen am Anfang und am Ende jeder Reihe weg und
  – zu lang, lass‘ bitte die gleiche Anzahl Reihen am Anfang und am Ende weg.
  Schön sähen z.B. folgende Stücke aus:
  – von Tag 2 Reihe 5 bis Tag 23 Reihe 18 = 434 Reihen
  – von Tag 3 Reihe 9 bis Tag 22 Reihe 14 = 386 Reihen
  – von Tag 6 Reihe 13 bis Tag 19 Reihe 9 = 258 Reihen

Du kannst das Strick-Lochmuster Poinsettia jetzt als eine Datei oder – wie im Advent 2012 – die täglichen Anleitungen herunterladen (s. die Dateinamen weiter oben):
die Version ‘glatt rechts/kraus’ als Einzeldatei heißt unikatissima_lc109_poinsettia_st und die Version ‘rechts-links’ als Einzeldatei heißt unikatissima_lc109_poinsettia_kp.

Über die fertigen Stücke:

Bedenke bitte: die Größe hängt immer von der Wolle und Nadelstärke und Deinem Stricken ab – ich stricke im allgemeinen sehr lose.

Für den Tischläufer habe ich

• ca. 575 m weißes Baumwoll-Häkelgarn (100 g ca. 580 m) mit
  
• 4 mm-Nadeln
  
• in der Version ‘glatt rechts/kraus’‚ des Musters gestrickt und
  
• bekam einen Tischläufer von ca. 28 x 166 cm ohne Krausrand und
  
• von ca. 30 x 168 cm mit einem Rand von 8 Reihen kraus am Anfang und am Ende sowie 4 Maschen kraus am Beginn und Ende jeder Reihe.

Je nachdem, wieviel Schwung ich hatte, habe ich einen täglichen Musterabschnitt in 30 – 35 Min gestrickt.

Für den Schal habe ich

• ca. 515 m Acrylgarn (200 g ca. 665 m) (Belday Hit Handarbeitsgarn, d’pink) mit
• 4 mm-Nadeln
  
• in der Version ‘rechts-links’ des Muster gestrickt und
• bekam einen Schal von ca. 30 x 156 cm ohne Krausrand und

• ca. 90 m weißes Baumwoll-Häkelgarn (100 g ca. 580 m) mit

• in der Version ‘glatt rechts/kraus’‚ des Musters gestrickt und
• bekam Platzdeckchen von ca. 28 x 20 cm ohne Krausrand und
• von ca. 30 x 22 cm mit einem Rand von 6 Reihen kraus am Anfang und am Ende sowie 3 Maschen kraus am Beginn und Ende jeder Reihe

Ein Platzdeckchen habe ich in knapp 2 Stunden gestrickt.
