-Finished Size: 31 (34 1/2, 36 1/4, 39 3/4, 43 1/4)” bust circumference. Sweater shown measures 31”, modeled with 1” of negative ease.
-Yarn: Swans Island Natural Colors Worsted (100% organic merino wool; 250 yd 229 m/3 1/2 oz 100 g): #YW211 natural, 4 (5, 5, 5, 6) skeins.
-Needles: Size 9 (5.5 mm): 32” circular (cir). Size 7 (4.5 mm): set of 5 double-pointed (dpn). Adjust needle size if necessary to obtain the correct gauge.
-Notions: Markers (m); stitch holders; tapestry needle.
-Gauge: 17 sts and 24 rnds = 4” in Seahouse patt on larger needle.

Inspired by classic gansey sweaters, this pullover is modernized with dolman sleeves, an allover texture pattern and a wide herringbone welt. Always seeking traditional knits that flatter the figure, the Leeward Pullover was inspired by Gladys Thompson’s “Patterns for Guernseys, Jerseys and Arans.”
