Luthien is semi-circular nonstranded colorwork shawl that mostly uses slipped stitches. Other patterns with the same slipped stitches technique: Peacock Challenge, Feathered Up, and Beren.

You will need:
150 g (600-650m) of fingering yarn total.
Actually, you might need slightly more than that, because the prototype weights 151 g.
The shawl can be knit with just two colors, MC and CC (of which you would need equal amount), or you can add more colors. If you want to copy my color scheme, please refer to the prototype photos.
To be more precise, I used 75 g of MC (navy), little less than 50g of variegated (blue/green), about 25g of yellow, and very little of blue and light green yarn.
You will also need long circular needles, US size 5 or 6, depending on your gauge, which should be 2 by 2 stitches in 1cm.
