The vest is worked in the round and then divided for the armholes.
The fronts are then worked back and forth to the shoulders. In order to hide the jog that occurs when working garter in the round, the end of round is placed at the center front right before the cable.

YARN: The Fibre Company Terra (40% baby alpaca, 40% merino, 20%
silk; 98 yds/50gm skein): mint, 2 (2, 3, 3, 4) skeins.
GAUGE: 17 sts + 32 rnds = 4” (10 cm) in Garter St, after blocking.
NEEDLES: 1 - 16” US 7 (4.5 mm) circs and set dpns.
NOTIONS: Tapestry needle, stitch marker, cable needle, 1 - 34” button.
SIZE: NB-6 (6-12, 12-18, 18-24, 24-36, 36-48) months.
SKILLS: Garter stitch in the round, basic cables.
