Cecile is worked in one piece. It begins with a cast-on for back, then knit up to the armholes, cast-on for the sleeves, work 1/2 of the sleeves, then divide and work the remainder of the sleeve and
front separately. Stitches are then picked up to work the hood. After seaming, stitches are picked up for the garter buttonband.

YARN: The Fibre Company Terra (60% baby alpaca, 20% alpaca + 20% silk; 98 yds/50gm skein): hollyhock, 3 (4, 4, 5) skeins.
GAUGE: 17 sts + 25 rows = 4” (10 cm) in St st, after blocking.
NEEDLES: 1 - 24“ US 7 (4.5 mm) circs or pair straights.
NOTIONS: Tapestry needle, 2 stitch markers, 5 - 3/4” buttons, waste yarn or stitch holder.
SIZE: NB-6 mos (6-12 mos, 12-18 mos, 2T).
SKILLS: Knitting, purling, increasing, decreasing.
