The afghan is made up of 36 squares, each worked in the round using a combination of three colours which are then joined together in a simple layout with a fourth colour.

The pattern should produce squares of 10cm/4in but working to an exact gauge is unimportant. The yardage given is enough for a small afghan (approx 75cm/29.5in square.)
