Momijigari is a long and lean shawlette designed especially to showcase Dream in Color’s October 2011 Dream Club offering: a 52% Mohair / 48% Merino blend in a 3-ply fingering weight dyed in all the hues that herald Autumn’s arrival.

And, the extra-long shape makes Momijigari perfect for draping over your shoulders to chase away the season’s chill, or snuggling around your neck like a scarf while enjoying the outdoor activities unique to Fall.

The garter-stitch body of the shawl is knit sideways, then yarn-over loops are picked up along the bottom edge of the triangle and the leaf-like lace section is knit back and forth.

Momijigari is the Japanese tradition of visiting scenic areas in the Fall to enjoy the changing colors of the leaves.
