Morning after what, you ask? After whatever. This ribbed beanie makes a great TV or knit night project and is great for advanced beginners wanting to try their first hat, or seasoned knitters who just want to kick back with something simple. It knits up quickly with chunky yarn and large needles, and the stretchiness of the rib means there’s no worry about sizing; it will fit most adult heads. Make one for yourself and another for a friend! Make the brim as long or short as you like by starting the crown decreases whenever you’re ready. It’s your Morning After; do with it what you will.

Size: Approximately 13” from brim to crown, adjustible. Approximately 9” across laid flat. Will stretch to fit most adult heads.

Gauge: 16 sts and 17 rows=4” in 1x1 rib. Gauge swatch should be knit in the round.

Materials: US size 11 (8.0) 16” circular needle and/or DPNs, stitch marker, sewing needle for weaving in ends

Pattern as written calls for approximately 120 yds of bulky yarn. Sample shown used Big Twist Chunky (100% acrylic, 195 yds/178 m) in color Deep Purple, available from JoAnn Fabrics. Any bulky yarn can be substituted. This pattern is simple enough to work with both solids and variegates in any color.
