Ready to stick it to the patriarchy? Use this nasty mug cozy to represent your feminism and have so fun in the riot grrrl spirit. Safety pin ties allow for some flexibility of mug size.

This pattern requires US size 6 needles, three safety pins, 5 yards fingering weight yarn for “Nasty” and ties, 12 yards DK weight yarn for background, two stitch markers, and a crochet hook (F or similar size).

Must be able to knit and purl as the pattern is worked in stockinette. The only crocheting skill needed is chaining, so this is a fine pattern for those with little or no crocheting background.

“Nasty” in the example is worked with Riot Grrrl color way from Sweet Pea Purls.
