Knit with 2 high-contrast colors, One Room Disco is great for colorwork beginners, or beginners to fingerless mitts. While there are 3 different colorwork patterns in the mitt, each is easy to read in you knitting and quickly learned. No need to worry about locking your floats! You’ll never have more than 5 stitches of the same color at any given time; just remember to keep your floats loose enough to stretch. These also knit up very quickly; you can knock them out over a couple of evenings and have a great accessory to keep your hands warm and your fingers free while texting or typing at the office.

One size fits most adult hands: mitts measure approximately 7.5” in circumference and can be widened by adding stitches to the vertical stripes on each side. You can also add or subtract length in the ribbing or pattern repeats.

Gauge was measured over pattern A (the block pattern on the back of the hand), after blocking. Gauge swatch should be knit in the round.

You will need US size 8 (5.0 mm) DPNs (a 9” circular is optional for the hand, but DPNs are necessary for the thumb), stitch markers, and a tapestry needle for weaving in ends.

Sample shown used one skein each of colors pink (MC) and beige (CC). Sample used approximately 84 yds of the MC and 40 yds of the CC, so if using the suggested yarn and wanting to add length, you may need an additional skein of the MC. If using a different yarn, any true worsted weight yarn should work.

This pattern has been tech edited and test knit.
