Oriel Window is a diaphanous, ethereal lace shawl suitable for the most elegant occasions. It combines three lace patterns: a small striped section flows gracefully into the traditional Estonian Poollehekiri (half-leaf) pattern, which in turn morphs into a wide band of Oriel lace, and finishes
with a Picot Bind Off.

The shawl begins with a long garter stitch tab and is knitted from the top down, forming a curved triangle shape that sits easily on the shoulders. All increases and lace happen on the right side, with only knit and purl on the wrong side. Due to the open nature of the lace pattern, the exact finished
size will depend on how aggressively the shawl is blocked.
