This crescent-shaped shawl features a lace-edged purl triangle pattern from the Japanese book “1000 Knitting Patterns Book”.

As the border is worked, the purl triangles decrease in size to gently curve the shawl. Each purl triangle dangles like a “pendant” from the previous triangle.

Short rows patterned in mock cable lace shape the shawl into a crescent which sits elegantly on the shoulders.

Knit in DK weight, the shawl drapes in lacy swirls (shown top left). Knit in fingering weight, the shawl can be decoratively joined in the center (shown in detail images).

Pattern was professionally tech edited by Robin Melanson.
