Size changes are made by changing hook size and yarn weight.

Gauge:
Newborn - 8 sts, 5 rows = 2 inches
3-6 month - 8 sts, 5 rows = 2.25 inches

This hat works up well in a variety of DK to worsted weight yarns. It is especially nice worked in a cotton blend.
