Pisco Punch is the latest of my patterns to get a little upgrade, and this time I switched up the suggested yarn as well, having seen Verb’s Gather and realizing how beautiful this would be in the more delicate fiber.

The pattern now features a more detailed crown shaping, an updated chart, additional sizes, additional notes and instructions, and my new layout.

The pattern itself is simple and easily memorized, featuring two sets of ribbing at the brim, leading into a staggered texture for the body of the hat. The crown is delicate and looks intricate (but is actually simple). A pom can be added, but isn’t needed.

The design is easily modified for depth or width and notes are included in the pattern.

Substitute yarns or alternate fit can result in a hat with more slouch (see test knits).

The motif is both written and charted.

Color shown - Orion, dyed with Logwood
