River Trail Beanie
Digital pattern for a DIY handknit beanie. One pdf download only.
The River Trail Beanie is an easy cable knit that requires minimum effort for maximum results! Luscious flowing cables along side textured trails work up together to create a cozy single or folded brim beanie. Instructions for three weights are included--worsted, light bulky and bulky--as well as charts, tables and video tutorials that dumb down the cable stitches making this pattern perfect for first-time cable knitters. It doesn’t get more fun than this easy cable beanie!
You’ll appreciate the bulky version and the coziness it provides on cold, snowy days, the light bulky weight for those brisk, sunny days, and the lighter worsted weight for cool spring mornings. Three weights to cover you most of the year, whatever the season and whatever the weather! That’s a lot of value in one pattern.
Moderately easy knitting pattern is written in US terms (English).
Pattern is for a one-size-fits-most unisex beanie with single or folded brim.
Pattern is knit in the round from the bottom up with a 12-stitch repeat over 12 rounds.
Decrease instructions are calculated per 12-stitch repeat making it easy to resize hat as needed. Cast-on more or less stitches in multiples of 12 for larger/smaller hats. Its that easy!
Directions are for:
Bulky weight with size US 10.5/11 (6.5/8 mm) needles.
Light bulky weight with US 10/10.5 (6 mm/6.5 mm) needles.
Worsted weight with US 7/8 (4.5 mm/5 mm) needles.
Recommended yarn is Malabrigo Chunky, Mecha, Rios or Worsted, as well as We Are Knitters Petite or Wave Wool. Many other brands will work, but be sure to check recommended needle size and confirm gauge with a test swatch before beginning.
Please note, there are no instructions included to make a faux fur pompom. This pattern is for the beanie only.
