Update August 19, 2016: I have updated the file for this pattern to be more in line with the style and aesthetics of the patterns I am currently producing. UK instructions and the chart have been restored, and the file has been trimmed down to 2 pages for easy printing.

Happy crocheting!

The pattern has a download option for the step-by-step photo tutorial for the rosebuds used in the cowl. The rosebuds work up quickly and it’s easy to churn them out once you get started.

This cowl could easily be worked in a variety of colours for different effects- grey, dark purple, and deep green for a more gothic look; pink, variegated, and light green for a fun look; soft brown, mahogany, and emerald for a mysterious, sophisticated look- the possibilities are endless! The body is worked in aran-weight yarn, the roses will be worked in a DK, and the leaves in either DK or sport-weight yarn, depending on the look I want when I get there.
