This hat is dedicated to my Mom and my 5 sisters. There are 6 little girls encircling the hat; 3 dark (brunets) and 3 light (fair haired) just like the 6 sisters. The hat matches the Pigtails & Gingham mitts.

If you knit the hat with stranded knitting and sport weight yarn it fits a child, a gauge of 28st-4ins gives you a hat that fits a 2 year old.
If you knit the hat in worsted weight it fits an adult, at a gauge of 17sts-4ins. Adjust the gauge to obtain larger or smaller sizes.
You will need 2 50g balls of yarn, one light & one dark.
The adult hat pictured is made in DK weight yarn but is double-knit, and reversible.
