The Style's the Thing
THE style’s the thing … of course … and this attractive jumper conforms to fashion’s demands in full measure, so make it during the holidays in one of the new pastel shades perhaps, or, if you prefer it, in a more vivid color — emerald green, heliotrope, scarlet …
MATERIALS: 4 oz., short or long sleeves, Paton’s Super Scotch fingering wool, 2-ply. Two No. 8 and two No. 12 (Queensland Country Life: No. 10) “Beehive” knitting needles (Old UK). A Beehive stitch holder.
Measurements: Length from top of shoulder, 19 inches. Width all round at under-arm, 34 ins. Length of short sleeve under-arm, 4½ ins. Length of long sleeve from under-arm, 16½ ins.
Tension: To get these measurements it is absolutely necessary to work at a tension to produce 7½ stitches to the inches, measured over the plain, smooth fabric.
