This beautiful design is reminiscent of a climbing plant supported by a trellis. Thus the name Trilix, the Latin root word from which the word trellis originates. Although many types of yarn can be used for this pattern, Cascade Yarn’s Ultra Pima gives the finished project a wonderful sheen and stitch definition.

The pattern is written for one size, but is easily adapted for size changes. Three stitch patterns are used in this design, with written and charted directions for the lace section. The poncho is knit loosely for added drape.

You will need three skeins of Cascade Yarns Ultra Pima, size 7 needles, two stitch markers and a yarn tapestry needle for this project.
