This is a top down Poncho/Cape knit in stockinette. Mosaic designs are incorporated between the MC stockinette sections.
The design is named after a National Monument in our area. The first mosaic is reminiscent of the “U” shaped peninsula with remnants of many cliff dwellings. The larger mosaic was designed from an actual petroglyph (not found at Walnut Canyon).

The pattern is written with 2 sizes, S/M and L/XL. there are special notes to make the S/M 4” narrower at the bottom edge. As written, the S/M size fits many body types.

2 colors are needed. MC and CC.
Size S/M uses 365 yards of MC and 150 yards of CC
Size L/XL uses 385 yards of MC and 165 yards of CC
The tan/black - Desert Bloom Yarn Cozy DK, MC Sand Dollar Cactus and CC Texas Ebony.
The tan/blue - Desert Bloom Yarn Cozy DK, MC Sand Dollar Cactus and CC Sawtooth Sage

Although there are 3 needle sizes noted, the larger size is a suggestion for a section of the large mosaic only.
