Xanthophyll \ˈzan(t)-thə-ˌfil\ noun

  • a yellow pigment that colors autumn leaves

I’ve never understood why people think of yellow as a spring color. It’s always reminded me far more of autumn. Between the rich yellow and the spiky stitch pattern, these socks are perfect for fall.

This pattern is for a top down sock with a heel flap. The pattern is three pages long and includes several pictures and charts. The socks feature two different slipped stitch patterns. The slipped stitches beautifully highlight the color changes in variegated sock yarns. The ribbing helps create a marvelously stretchy sock that will easily fit a variety of different feet. The pattern is suitable for men or women and is shown on a man’s foot.
