Using the beads left over from Everdeen.

Needles used:

• cast on: US 7
• ruffle: US 5
• horizontal braids: US 5
• beaded/quilted section: US 5
• eyelet section: US 4

Used Kalessin’s modification on the eyelet section for WS decreases.

Using my own “modification” (aka pattern misread) of adding eyelets every 4 rows instead of every 6 rows.

Stitch count was off to start the quilted section. I initially thought I missed some decreases, but turns out during the braid I worked some stitches twice. Just dropping the extra stitches made things look sloppy, so I ripped it out to redo it, this time with stitch markers every 10 stitches so I could keep track as I went that I wasn’t adding any extra stitches.

I’m glad I ended up sticking with the handpainted variegated yarn (I was contemplating frogging and replacing the Tipsy Sheep yarn with something else). It won’t be nearly as elegant as some Fabergés, but it’s colorful and fun and mine. Though if I were to make another, I’d stick with solids.
