Project was knit following Wingspan with Chaordic Knitting variations.

Unblocked gauge 13.2 sts/4” (10cm). Cast on stitch count 51, top and bottom offset 11, stagger 3. Worked 8 triangles.

Unblocked tip to tip length is 42” (107cm) and depth is 9” (23cm), making a nice shawlette size.

Turns were not wrapped.

I kept forgetting to cast on the bottom offset. Since the cast on occurs at the end of the second row of each triangle, I would do all the setup for the new triangle on the first row, and then forget on the second row to cast on the bottom offset. I finally began using this method:

When there were no more stagger sts to use up, place a permanent marker at 40 sts from the bottom (40+11=51), place the first temporary marker at 3 sts closer to the bottom than the PM, and place a second TM 1 st from the bottom.

Row 1: Work to PM, turn
Row 2: Work to end (slipping first TM), remove second TM (which reminded me to do the cast on!), cast on 11 sts

Continue pattern as written.
