I had some gauge issues. I noticed when knitting the back (which I did second) and ripped back and adjusted but when I was putting it together I realized that my gauge on the front was looser than my swatch. I need to think about this more to make this Custom Fit thing work well for me. I think I knit smaller pieces like a swatch (even a 6” swatch is a pretty small thing) at a tighter gauge. Or I’m more relaxed when knitting a garment than a swatch. Or something.

I like the sweater. I decided to knit it in pieces so the stripes wouldn’t be too narrow or disappear altogether. This means the stripes don’t match back and front.

Mods: I steeked the neck to prevent the stripes from getting so wide they looked weird in comparison to the body.

The armholes are a bit strange. I’m not sure this is because I need to change the armhole depth measurement for my body OR the gauge issue OR a design issue that didn’t really leave enough space for the edging. I am contemplating taking the edging off and replacing with 2 rows of garter stitch (pick up, knit a row, bind off).

Overall, I’m happy with this though and it is destined to become a wardrobe staple.
