Notes

If I like it, it will go to my sister-in-law when it’s finished. I only work on it when I’m out so it has been very slowly coming along. It also kills my wrist if I work on it too long at one time.

I grabbed this out of hibernation yesterday to finally finish it. I am using a Tulip hook now and it’s not nearly as hard on my hands.

I’ve completed the bulk of the flower over the last 3 days and I’m going to pay for it!

I have 7 rows of the flower left to complete. I didn’t check gauge when I started this. Every 4 rounds is 1 inch. I may shorten the top. There are 13 rounds after the flower, but I may shorten those to 9.

The diameter of the bag is only about 12”

Only the drawstring, strap, and bottom edging left! sweat_smile

I made the drawstring with yarn rope using 6 strands of each color. I made the strap 8 sc wide and 34” long. Then, I edged it in crab stitch before sewing it onto the bag.

Final thoughts: Tapestry crochet is very easy. There wasn’t much to actually learn, but only get used to carrying the unworked yarn under the working yarn and paying attention to stitch placement. I followed the pattern exactly.
