Last year we had great fun doing the Irish Photo Rally for the first time, even though I did stay at home and knit a few of the days that Ryan headed out to some of the points!
We went to the presentation dinner a few weeks ago and saw photos from everyone else that did the rally, there was such a fantastic sense of adventure and fun that I decided I would add a twist to my entry this year - I hadn’t realised that a pillion could enter separately before.
And so the motoscarf was born. I’m combining the concept of having my picture taken knitting at each of the 24 points, and knitting in a colour that matches the colour of the sky at the time (well, the closest i have from a selection of rialto chunky colours that I bought, anyway) like the sky scarf by Lea Redmond. By the end of it, i should manage a buttonable scarfy cowly thing, but it’s not about the end result really, it’s about the journey…
