Notes

thank you parents for birthday yarn! i knit both sleeves and started the body while on a business trip to Brussels.

the yarn is indeed quite smooshy. very soft, knits up well. when i knit with it for long periods of time, i end up with faint teal streaks on my fingers where i tension the yarn. my swatch didn’t bleed though.

Mods: getting a gauge of 5.25 spi, 7.5 rpi on US 7. knitting the 2nd size in the pattern to achieve something close to the smallest. knit a turned hem with a provisional cast on instead of the rolled hem. will lengthen the body, add waist shaping. knit a turned hem for the neckband.

Finally finished the collar (had to redo) and wove in all the ends on 9-20. The sweater itself was a fast knit, but I had to redo some of the body to figure out the proper cable placement with my mods, and then the sweater sat for a while over the summer.

Verdict: I love this sweater!! It’s extremely wearable, thin enough to wear indoors easily, and can fit a thicker sweater over it for cold days outside. (Yes, I wear multiple handknit sweaters at once. What, doesn’t everyone wear 5-6 handknit items on any given day?)
