7 July 2021 - honestly, I have stopped using superwash yarn other than for gifts, so this cardi is not something that I would any longer wear.

SLEEVES
for future reference, could knit both sleeves from one skein of wollmeise for this pattern; likewise for back and for front.
Cuff - Brooklyn tweed (as per stonecutter) tubular cast on 32 sts resulting in 62sts.
26 rows, garter st selvedge
sleeve - garter st selvedge throughout.
k 2 rows in stst, start alternating balls, carrying working strand in front and increasing every 13th row.
increases - M1R and M1L . k for garter st selvedge, work st, incr.
All incrs complete, next row is 160. Knit even to 174.
Shaping the sleeve cap - use the same strand to knit all 4 rows when casting off sts. Start alternating again w a new strand on the next right side row.
decr every third RS row twice - on row 5, row 11
decr every other RS row once - row 15
decr every RS row 17 times
after the 17th decr row, start short rows on the next (WS) row (do not alternate strands)
after fourth W&T purl all the way to the end of the row, picking up wraps.
Alternate strands iycbb. cast off all sts on next row (RS), picking up wraps as you go.
BACK
Hem - cast on 72sts for tubular cast on resulting in 142 sts
Rib for 32 rows w garter st selvedge
26 May - back finished. Weighs 133gm
25 may - 20 rows worked even. 26 to go!!
24 May - armhole decrs complete.
23 may - incr rows complete, ready to shape underarms. excited!
22 may - second incr row worked. am v curious as to whether this piece will weigh less than 150gm. Currently 80gm.
17 may - tenth (and last) decrease row worked
16 may - eighth decr row worked
15 may - sixth decr row worked
14 May - 3 decr rows worked.
13 may - completed 32 rows of ribbing for back from the extra ball that came from the UK. changed to one of the half balls from the sleeves and the third original skein. knit first decrease row.
12 may - 16 rows of ribbing for back done
9 may - and frogged those 32 rows of ribbing bc i didn’t have enough sts. i feel that this sweater is conspiring against me.
8 may -32 rows ribbing done.
7 may - 27 rows of ribbing done for back hem.
6 May - first six rows of tubular cast on complete.
4 May - back to sleeve one, working on sleeve cap.
2 may - second sleeve complete - 65g. And ugh, terrible day. Frogged the sleeve bc EFF I appear to have knit it on the wrong size blasted needle. Crocheted chain for cast on for back.
30 apr - finished increases on second sleeve. Orange marker is row 160.
1 apr - finished ribbing for second sleeve. did all rows from one ball (same as for other sleeve’s ribbing; same ball too). now just have to find my 3mm needle.
30 mar - finished the first sleeve, weighs 68g. And have been offered an October 2015 skein from the uk. Hooray! Finished tubular cast on for sleeve 2
28 mar - oh, the small ball ran out after the 6th sleeve cap decrease. have done 7th decr. now need to work on the other sleeve … or maybe i’ll just knit from the inside of the other ball.
27 mar - worked incr 10 in the train this morning. Almost there, yay! and 11 just now. green marker represents 160 rows. knitting to 174 as per pattern
26 mar - 8 incrs done. and realised that i had set aside st markers for 13 incrs but it’s only 11. hooray!
23 mar - 6 sleeve incrs done
22 mar - 5 sleeve increases done
21 mar - 4 sleeve increases done.
18 mar - 26 rows of ribbing done.
15 mar - cast on. Used BT tubular but just 1x1. So start w 32 sts for 62.
