Knitting: Earflap Hat
Merry is the Merrick hat’s fun, crazy sibling. I’ve modified it to give it earflaps with I-cord strings and some big, fluffy pompoms. You can choose from 3 sizes and work either from the charts OR the written instructions according to your preference.
Knitting: Stocking
Obla is a stranded slouchy hat with a simple, repeating, all-over Fair Isle motif. The longest you’ll have to carry a colour is 3 sts, so there is no need to worry about weaving in the strands to prevent long floats because there aren’t any. The majority of the rows are my favourite, alternating colours every other stitch.
Knitting: Shawl / Wrap
The Scintillate shawl is elegant and simple, perfect for wearing as a cozy wrap or a small neckerchief. You choose your size and your border pattern.
Knitting: Beanie, Toque
This is a really basic, simple hat construction. You can certainly follow the fun, stashbusting stripe instructions, or you can just use this pattern as a basic structure for a slouch hat made with any fingering-weight yarn.
Knitting: Shawl / Wrap
I saw these colours everywhere this year, and I needed them. But I needed them knitted.

This is an adaptation of the Cheery Scrap Cap by Kate Oates, which I LOVE knitting in all sorts of variations, and you can find my notes on what I did at the link below.

A simple pattern that puts lovely hand-painted yarns to good use. Preemie hats are great for using up leftovers from sock yarn, and you can make 2-4 of these hats from a ball of 50g yarn.
