Knitting: Mid-calf Socks
There are 4 sizes in the pattern by stitch count, 60, 64, 68, and 72. My foot is 8” round and I made the 60 stitch size. It is easy to make smaller sizes, just mark off however many columns on each side of the chart and cast on accordingly. Gauge is not crucial if you know what gauge and stitch count are usually good for you.
Knitting: Beanie, Toque
This is a simple hat with a looped finish. The broken seed stitch pattern is especially good for highly variegated yarns but you can always just use stockinette stitch if you prefer. You can wear this as a slouchy hat or fold the ribbing and wear it as a fitted toque/beanie.
Knitting: Cowl
This pattern has 3 versions of the Blanda cowl, a small one made with 5 x 15 gm minis, a larger one made with a variety of minis and one skein of fingering weight yarn, and one made with a Riverside Studio Quintet set (5 x 30 gm minis). The choice is yours! It is easy to mix in any colours you want and with however much you have, be it 5 gm, 12...
Knitting: Shawl / Wrap
This is an easy shawl knit sideways in garter stitch. The size is easily adjustable, just knit until you run out of yarn, just leave enough to bind off! I used 5 x 30 gm minis, out Quintet set called Inverness. But any sock yarn can be used and any combination of minis, odds and ends can be used. I used just under 150 gm of yarn.
Knitting: Cowl
This is an easy textured cowl knit in the round. It is 46” round and 8.5” wide. It can be worn long and loose or doubled up and close to the neck. It is easily adjustable to the amount of yarn you have. I used one skein of sock yarn and two 15 gm minis.
Knitting: Shawl / Wrap
This shawl/shawlette pattern uses charts. It can easily be resized using thicker yarn or adding repeats.
Knitting: Scarf
This is a simple eyelet pattern. It is easy to remember and makes a lovely scarf.
Knitting: Shawl / Wrap
This shawl is knit from side-to-side, using a traditional lace pattern along the bottom edge. This uses one skein of sock yarn. Gauge was 18x24 stitches after blocking.
Knitting: Scarf
A lace scarf which uses one skein of fingering weight yarn. There is only a chart for the lace pattern itself, no written instructions. It is a based on a Japanese lace pattern, with a bit of tweeking.
Knitting: Scarf
This scarf is a great way to use up one skein of fingering/sock yarn. It is an easy lace pattern which creates undulating lines with an easy-to-read chart.
Knitting: Mid-calf Socks
Correction of a correction! The wrong chart was included for the 60 stitch beginning. Both the 60 stitch and 72 stitch charts are correct now. I’ve only included the charts, if you would like the written instructions instead, please contact me.
Knitting: Mid-calf Socks
ERRATA: Under “Turn the heel” the purl rows should read M1, P1, w&t (not M1, K1, w&t).
Knitting: Mid-calf Socks
This sock pattern was written in one size but using a thinner or thicker yarn will give smaller or larger socks. It was written as a cuff-down pattern but could easily be converted to toe-up.
