This hat is knitted sideways, with the crown shaping formed by short rows / wrap and turn. The pattern includes full instructions for this technique. Worked flat, this hat is suitable for an adventurous beginner.
Knitting: Beanie, Toque

Knitting: Cowl
This cowl is feather-light and delightfully soft due to the beautiful Rowan Alpaca/Cotton yarn. It uses a pretty lace design and a few beads to create something stylish and fun to wear. I love to wear simple cowls like this to brighten up a t-shirt or to close the gap at the neckline of my coat.
Knitting: Cowl
This cowl is an exploration of slipped stitches, showing how they can produce both fascinating textures and exciting colourwork designs. The central section uses only one colour per row making this an ideal project for a knitter who wishes to take their first steps in colourwork.
Knitting: Shawl / Wrap
Superluminal: denoting or having a speed greater than that of light.
Knitting: Beret, Tam, Beanie, Toque
A simple beret or beanie hat designed to show off a special skein of hand-dyed rainbow yarn. Although it was intended for the limited-edition colourway “Fruju” by Highland Handmades, any variegated or self-striping yarn should look good.
