Knitting: Shawl / Wrap
Join us for this year’s Periscoping Sisters Mother’s Day Mystery Knitalong! This year we return to a more traditional shape for a shawl/wrap that is perfect for the beginner to advanced beginner knitter.
Knitting: Mid-calf Socks
These colorwork socks call for one 50g skein of self-striping yarn for the main color and one 20-30 g mini each of two contrasting colors for the colorwork bands and heels, cuffs and toes. 20 g should be enough for the contrast colors (each) if you are knitting the S and M sizes, and 30 g of each mini is plenty for the L size.
Knitting: Mittens
It’s Mystery Knit Along Time with the Periscoping Sisters!
Knitting: Mid-calf Socks
The Laguna socks are a perfect introduction to colorwork socks. A small band of stripes and colorwork is enough to be fun but isn’t overwhelming. The colorwork design represents both Mount Laguna (a beautiful peak near my hometown) and the waves of Laguna Beach.
Knitting: Mid-calf Socks
This sock pattern is written for top down “magic loop” construction but can easily be adjusted for any construction technique. With a textured pattern on the front and stockinette on the back, the 4-row repeat is easily memorized and produces a sophisticated ripple and mock cable without the use of a cable needle. I was inspired to design somet...
Knitting: Mid-calf Socks
I grew up in a cold place in the woods where snow would fall silently through the trees. Now, I live in a warm place and really enjoy wearing lacey socks. This lace pattern reminds me of snowflakes and took me back to a place and time where I would stand outside, face turned upwards, snowflakes silently falling all around me. I hope knitting th...
Knitting: Skirt
Are you ready for Rhinebeck?? I wanted a marled fade skirt to wear this year, so I designed this pattern!
Knitting: Shawl / Wrap
This is a simple beginner knit, to make a crescent shaped wrap in seed stitch, with a few interesting stripes. It is easily memorized and addictive, just like watching t.v. and eating potato chips.
Knitting: Mid-calf Socks
This sock pattern has a simple lace snowflake flower on the top of the foot which travels up the front of the leg. The lace looks more complicated than it is to knit, and is perfect for sock knitters who have never knit lace socks before.
Knitting: Shawl / Wrap
Thanks so much for joining us for our second Mystery Knit Along! This year, our collaboration pattern honors our mom, the Knitting Nana! The pattern will be released in 4 clues, all of which you can complete in time for Mother’s Day (US), to give your finished object to your mom, or another loved one in your life.
Knitting: Scarf
This scarf pattern is inspired by my dad, the one I seem to return to for direction and support when I reach the crossroads in my life. Hence the name Volver, which means “to return”.
Knitting: Mid-calf Socks
“Don’t Touch Those Leaves” refers to a funny poison ivy story from my childhood. My oldest sister, Wendy, always thought she knew more and better than me. Well, you can imagine what she did when I told her, “Don’t Touch Those Leaves!” She didn’t listen. Although Wendy is in heaven now, I know she would laugh, remembering the consequences of her...
Knitting: Shawl / Wrap
This is our first collaboration pattern between me and my sister Amy Meeks indigoamy. As many may know, our oldest sister Wendy lived a short 34 years but those years were full of random acts of kindness, generosity and COLOR. She brightened many lives during her short time on earth, and now she brings color to the Heavens. This 3-color wrap re...
Knitting: Shawl / Wrap
I’m the youngest of 3 girls. My eldest sister Wendy was a nature lover and always admired beautiful sunsets. After she suddenly passed away on her 34th birthday, her 6-year old daughter would see a beautiful, colorful sky and say, “Look! It’s a Wendy Sky!” This pattern is close to my heart, and my intent is to share with the world the term “Wen...
