Knitting: Shawl / Wrap
Something lightweight that could cover your shoulders or neck when you experience temperature changes during flights that could easily be shoved into your carry on… The Carry On wrap can be worn as a scarf or wrap and is just enough to keep the chill away.
Knitting: Headband
I set to find a stitch pattern that would emulate a shell shape. Once I had that down, I set out to make a dual purpose head accessory. I wanted the ends to have a bow like shape without having to tie a bow as well as a wider band to cover up that crazy travel hair that can happen! I also wanted a slimmer version that I could use just to keep t...
Knitting: Cardigan
This flowy cardi is meant to be cozy and will be your go to for keeping warm this winter!
Knitting: Shawl / Wrap
This half-pi shawl is worked by striping three colors as you knit your way through garter, stockinette, and some eyelet rows. It gradually grows larger until you are working the final brioche rib using colors A & B and then colors C & B. Perfect for an adventurous beginner or an experienced knitter looking for something simple yet inter...

Knitting: Shawl / Wrap
This pattern is written up with two versions, both inspired by the Knittin’ in the Mitten fall retreat in Michigan. The porch of the retreat has an interesting detail that jumped out at me as a beautiful shawl shape. I incorporated a lace motif to match, but wanted this design to be simple enough to knit while chatting at a retreat. Thus, the a...
Knitting: Cowl
One of my favorite inspirations for a design is the yarn itself and this is a perfect example. I wanted something that showed off a variegated yarn and the fun pooling and flashing that can occur. Incorporating some cables and mesh helped change up the effect in the stockinette section. The seed stitch at the top and bottom shows what can happe...
Knitting: Cowl
This design consists of a few different stitch patterns worked into a cowl that can be worn looped around a couple times or left long. One can easily adapt it to make a deeper cowl, or switch up the stitch patterns to make it your own!
Knitting: Cowl
This design is made for crazy handspun skeins to show off the yarn! Perfect for thick and thin or art yarn, I give you the directions on selecting the right needle for your yarn as well as stitch count by needle size for needles 2 to 13.
Knitting: Beanie, Toque, Beret, Tam
This fun and simple hat is just like your favorite ripped jeans from the 90s… Super comfy and grunge! Due to the dropped stitches, the hat will get baggier once blocked. For that reason there are two options for this hat, small and large. Make your decision based on your fit preferences and you’ll have a hat that rocks as much as you do!
Knitting: Beanie, Toque
This hat pattern knits up quickly with Agrestal Yarn in worsted weight and looks elegant yet warm. Start simple with the 1x1 ribbing and work your way into the lace that is a mix of increase and decrease stitches. The patterning is continued into the crown decreases and may seem unbalanced but trust in the pattern, it has been test knit!
Knitting: Cowl
Inspired by the rocking names of many Fiber Addiction colorways, the Rock On!hat was designed to be a little bit punk, a little bit rock’n’roll and a little bit chilled out.
Knitting: Scarf
This scarf pattern can be easily adapted to different lengths depending on how much yarn you have. The leaf lace motif is repeated for a set number or until you like the length! As far as lace knitting goes, this is fairly simple with k2tog, yo, slst and psso to create the leaves.
Knitting: Shrug / Bolero
This Shrug is knit side to side. You start in the round with one sleeve, switch to knitting flat for the back and finish back in the round for the second sleeve. Some simple eyelets are added at the bottom for extra interest.
Knitting: Cowl
I was recently lucky enough to collaborate with Fiber Addiction, TurtleMade and Chasing Acorns for kits that Fiber Addiction will introduce at Yarn Con in Chicago this April. My contribution was to spin Fiber Addiction’s dyed Polwarth and create a pattern that would work well with the thick ‘n’ thin handspun yarn that many new spinners create. ...
Knitting: Beret, Tam, Fingerless Gloves
This pattern contains instructions for making a hat and mitts to match your Lake Effect by KaRi Wymer
Knitting: Chart
This is the GRAPH only for the ‘Crush The Sack’ saying that includes awareness ribbons. You can use this to make a 5x5 square (depending on your gauge, you may need to drop the second ribbon repeat to make it the correct size) for a blanket or for a dishcloth.
Knitting: Beret, Tam
This pattern will also be available at the Fiber Addiction booth at Wine & Wool in Michigan July 2014 and Michigan Fiber Fest August 2014 along with the yarn needed to make the hat!

This is a fun and quick knit cowl inspired by the knitting ‘mistake’ of my youngest as he learned to knit.
Knitting: Beanie, Toque
Utilizes leftovers totaling 50g of between 2 and 7 colors in equal amounts, or 100g if you’d like mitts and a hat!
Knitting: Sleeveless Top
Once you get the setup this is a fairly simple top to knit and has a very unique look when finished! There is a bit of negative ease for a clean fit as well as some waist shaping to help accentuate the A-line style.
Knitting: Cowl
Today I sat down with one skein of Darn Good Yarn’s Reclaimed Chiffon Ribbon yarn and my size 50 knitting needles. I had an idea and got to work. The result is what I’m calling the ‘Two in One’. With just the one skein and my one pattern you can create two types of cowls!

This pattern has been extended to include a Loop style cowl, a Close to the neck cowl as well as a one skein option.

Knitting: Beret, Tam
I knit on the tight side and used size 9 in this pattern, however a looser knitter may want to use size 8.
