Knitting: Cowl
This pattern was developed in an attempt to maximize the style per yard from a single skein of chunky hand-painted yarn that I received as a gift. It knits up quickly on large needles, making it an excellent last-minute gift as well as a great way to show off a special hand-painted yarn. Knitting: Glasses Case
Drawstring pouch worked in basketweave stitch. The all-over texture looks fantastic in a self-striping yarn, which makes this a great way to use up leftover sock yarn. Originally designed as a sunglass case, but the length is easily adjusted to fit a camera, cell phone, deck of cards, etc. Enjoy!
Knitting: Accessories - Other
Stockinette cover knit in the round from center out to fit standard-sized ID badge holder. This is the perfect way to show off a leftover bit of pretty sock or lace weight yarn and to display your love of knitting at work on those days when you can’t justify wearing a big lacy shawl with your scrubs.

Knitting: Earflap Hat
Because even baby dinosaurs need to keep their heads warm! This is a baby/toddler hat knit flat and seamed. It features scaly garter stitch ear flaps. Stegosaurus spines are knit separately and sewn into the seam so that they stand up straight. I-cord ties keep it from being blown off by Jurassic breezes.
Knitting: Beanie, Toque
Baby/Toddler hat knit in the round with cat ears knit separately and sewn on at the end. This will work in any worsted weight yarn, but I think it comes out particularly well in a variegated yarn for the calico effect.
Knitting: Bonnet
This pattern is perfect for that baby shower this weekend you just found out about. Or for teaching / learning. All you need to do is cast on, knit and cast off. Also easily adapted to other stitch patterns, lacy boarders, etc.
Knitting: Hats - Other
This is a pattern for a toddler / older baby hat with three-dimensional cat ears. It works for all sorts of worsted weight yarns, but I think it comes out particularly nice in a variegated yarn for the calico effect.
