A rectangular shawl inspired by the mesh bags of beach balls that seem to hang outside every shop in an English seaside town.

Constructed top down, this hat pattern allows gauge to be checked in progress to ensure a well fitted hat every time.
Knitting: Mid-calf Socks
Flowing rib stitches emulate the channels on the surface on Mars. A tubular cast on is used to give a neat and stretchy start to the ribbing, which flows down into a traditional heel-flap and gusset constructed sock. The socks have a higher cuff at the front than the back, emphasising the ribs flowing up the front of the leg, and down the back.

A curved scarf that can be worn multifarious ways. Wrapped around, the garter stitch provides warmth at the neck whilst the lace gives a delicate edge. Worn more traditionally as a scarf, the short rows create a gentle ruffling effect.
