Crochet: Shawl / Wrap
Designed exclusively for Mad Cow Yarn for the 2017 LYS Tour! The colors and stitches in this shawl remind me of sunny summer days, and is a perfect weight for wearing all year round.
Knitting: Fingerless Gloves
The stashmitts are a great way to use up those small amounts of leftover yarn you just couldn’t bear to throw away! Make two identical stashmitts like I did, or be funky and make a fraternal pair. To make my pair I used four Classy mini-skeins (2 of the main color and one of each contrast color).
Knitting: Beret, Tam
Inspired by the Callous Pink colorway it was designed in, Pococurante is a hat for when you need a cute handknit to cheer you up. A quick knit, the pattern is easy to memorize even on days you are feeling pococurante. Instructions are given both fully charted and written out.
Knitting: Fingerless Gloves
As of October 2012 $230 has been donated to the Fitzgerald Cancer Fund. Thank you to everybody who helped support them!
Knitting: Beret, Tam
The Cobbs Beret was inspired by a design on the ceiling of the Henry Ives Cobbs Federal Building in Chicago, which was built in 1905 and destroyed in 1965. It is a beautiful design which is interesting to look at from any direction. The pattern is suitable for advanced beginners or beginning intermediate knitters. Both written and charted instr...
Knitting: Cozy - Other
When I saw the taxidermy squirrel cozies on the strongest beer in the world, I immediately thought of how cool a Scrat cozy would be. After all, a sabertooth squirrel can protect your beverage better than a regular squirrel, right? Especially if he is motivated by the acorn on the cap. If you are attached to your friendly neighborhood squirrels...
Knitting: Chart
Chart only, not a complete pattern. This is the Flamel Cross, seen often in the anime Fullmetal Alchemist (although it is a real symbol outside the anime as well). It represents continuing life. The chart is 19 st x 33 rows.
Knitting: Knee-highs
This is a quick to make pattern for kilt hose, based on Aislinn Charlton-Dennis’ Toirneach Kilt Hose. She made a fantastic pattern, which I have adapted to use much bigger yarn for a quicker finished product. It is designed to use either bulky weight yarn or double-stranded worsted weight (hence the contradicting yarn information above!) You wi...
Knitting: Mittens
Hipcat’s Mittens were designed for my husband, who requested “plain mittens”. I wasn’t able to find any patterns I liked for the bulky yarn I had, so I made my own. This is a great generic pattern for anybody, instructions are included for customizing to your hand/thumb length. With a lighter weight yarn and smaller needles this could also work...
Crochet: Softies - Other
Gauge for this pattern does not really matter.
