Knitting: Beanie, Toque
This cozy little folded brim cable knit beanie is full of twisty texture on top of a purl stitch background. I had so much fun designing this one and I found the design to be very fluid and calming to look at, hence the name the ‘Daydreamer Beanie’.

Knitting: Scarf
This tri-colored, color block scarf uses four different design elements to create a fun and unique color mashup. The rich texture is achieved by using a combination of garter stitches, stockinette, and eyelet lace.

This ‘Coral Beanie’ is a cozy cabled hat with a slightly slouchy fit. The cable twists start tight at the brim and then spread out as they get closer to the crown. There is no need to switch needle sizes after the brim since the cable crosses are tighter in the beginning. The brim will naturally fit more snug on its own.

Knitting: Cowl
This DK weight ‘Birchwood Cowl’ uses slipped stitches to create fun color combinations using three different colors. Since the colorwork is done completely in slipped stitches, there is no need for changing colors within a single round. The color changes come from switching yarn colors at the beginning of the round.
Knitting: Shawl / Wrap
This asymmetrical ‘Anthem Shawl’ uses a fun combination of right and left leaning stitches to create diagonal ribbing for a majority of the shawl. The end is then completed with a geometrical lace design. This shawl is designed to wear draped over your shoulders or wrapped around like a cozy, oversized scarf.

Knitting: Beanie, Toque
This fun little adult-sized beanie comes with a plethora of cable combinations. I thought “Trail Mix” was a suitable name since it pretty much has a little bit of everything. Although this hat only uses simple left or right leaning cable crosses, the various combinations of the two result in: twists, braids, horseshoes, and X’s and O’s. The bra...
Knitting: Cowl
I knit this cowl using one of my all-time favorite cable stitches: the honeycomb stitch. I just love the stretchiness of it and it also creates the look of a complex pattern, even though only 2 cable stitches are used: LPC and RPC (I explained both in the abbreviations section).
Knitting: Scarf
This cozy, oversized scarf combines a few different stitch combinations to create an eye-catching design and texture. I used both cable stitches and twisted stitches to create the different sections, or columns, in this scarf. The larger lattice sections use only twisted stitches and the long cabled twists use a 2 over 2 cable stitch. Thus, com...

Knitting: Beanie, Toque
I knit this adult-size hat using one of my all-time favorite cable stitches: the honeycomb stitch. I just love the stretchiness of it and it also creates the look of a complex pattern, even though only 2 cable stitches are used: LPC and RPC (written instructions for both stitches are included).
Knitting: Scarf
I designed this easy-going, color-blocked scarf in hopes of finding a project that is relaxing to knit as well as super cozy to wear. I think the chunky weight of the yarn, the squishy garter stitches, and the mixture of 3 colors make for a very vibrant and fun project. (plus, I think choosing color combos is half the fun!)

Knitting: Cowl
This light weight cowl is a wonderful accessory to wear as the spring time temperatures begin to warm up. The worsted weight yarn makes for a slouchy and airy fit and the combination of stitches will naturally fold the cowl and create different depths while wearing it.
Knitting: Cowl
This super bulky cowl is knit flat and then the two ends are seamed together with an invisible horizontal seam. The cable stitches consist of left crosses and right crosses in 3 different sizes creating a ‘fade’ of the larger braids in the center and the smaller ones on the outside.
Knitting: Beanie, Toque
This adult sized winter hat is a super cozy accessory for the cold weather. The cabled brim and the 1x1 ribbing make the hat slightly thicker than a standard knit hat and will also fit more snugly. The hat is knit from the brim up and is knit inside out. When the hat is completed, just flip it inside out and fold the brim up, that way the cable...
Knitting: Scarf
I am always looking for ideas for projects to knit with all my leftovers. I have baskets and baskets of scrappy yarn that I just cannot bring myself to get rid of. (or maybe I’m just a hoarder). ☺
Knitting: Beanie, Toque
The main idea behind this hat pattern is to give most of the creative control to the maker in terms of colors, sizes, and design options. As I was writing this pattern, I was reminded of the ‘Choose Your Own Adventure’ books that I loved to read as a kid. This pattern works on the same concept that your choices along the way will affect your en...

Knitting: Beanie, Toque
I designed this cozy little hat in hopes of having a cute fall accessory that my whole family will enjoy wearing. Now we just need the weather to cool off! The pattern is written for Baby, Child, and Adult sizes.

Knitting: Fingerless Gloves, Beanie, Toque
This ‘flip side’ set is appropriately named since they are basically worn inside out. Both the hat and the gloves use a knit stitch instead of a purl stitch and are flipped inside out at the end.

Knitting: Mittens
Even though these mittens are made for cold weather, they were definitely designed with summer in mind. The sea green color I choose and the long cable knits reminded me of waves in the ocean.

Knitting: Beanie, Toque
This woman’s size “Yeti” beanie (appropriately named by my 3 year old) is knit with bulky weight yarn and is a fairly quick-knitting project. The thick yarn and the fair isle colorwork make the hat extra warm and plush.
Knitting: Cowl
This cozy and stylish cowl is a wonderful accessory for cold weather days. The honeycomb cable design and the chunky weight yarn make this cowl extra plush and warm.
Knitting: Beanie, Toque
This chunky winter hat is the perfect accessory of the whole family. The thick yarn and fair isle colorwork will keep your little ones (and yourself) warm and cozy all season.
Knitting: Pillow / Cushion
In the spirit of the Cubs advancing to the World Series, I just had to design a Cubbies pillow. I was way too excited!

Knitting: Mittens
These fair isle mittens are knit in the round on double pointed needles from the cuff up to the fingers. The thumb is an ‘afterthought thumb’ using a piece of scrap yarn as a placeholder.
Knitting: Mittens, Fingerless Gloves
Included are patterns for both mittens and fingerless gloves. It is an excellent project for anyone just learning to use double pointed needles or new to mitten making. It’s a fun, simple pattern and knits relatively fast since only one color is used.
Knitting: Fingerless Gloves
When I was first coming up with this pattern, I was so indecisive on which color to pick for the big bow. My daughter, Finley, insisted on hot pink when we were at the store, so, I just had to name them after her.
Knitting: Pillow / Cushion
This pillow is made in one solid piece using fair isle knitting and only two strands of yarn. The completed piece is then wrapped around a pillow form and mattress stitched on the remaining three sides. I love the muted colors in this pillow and the speckled gray in the background color. I think it will blend well with most decor.
Knitting: Pillow / Cushion
This pillow is constructed in one solid piece using intarsia knitting and only two colors. It is knit by starting with the bottom of the front of the pillow and ending with the bottom of the back of the pillow. The three open sides are then mattress stitched together at the end around a pillow form.
Knitting: Fingerless Gloves
I finished making these cozy gloves just in time for our Chicago winter to start up. The chunky weight yarn and big cables make these gloves a wonderful accessory for cold weather days. I used ‘Hayfield Chunky with Wool’ yarn, but any chunky weight substitute will work.
