Crochet: Drawstring Bag
This is a very easy pattern for a confident beginner. It is worked in the round, and is strictly single crochet, although the body of the bag is worked in a version of single crochet where you work every other stitch into the row below, which gives some extra thickness to the bag as well as an interesting texture. Making the bag longer or short...
Crochet: Dress
I love the flapper style, and have been hankering to write a dress pattern in this style for a while, and so here is the first one! This pattern is actually quite easy, so I would call it appropriate for an advanced beginner/intermediate crocheter. There is no shaping, no increasing, no decreasing, and no seaming. I love ease of construction!
Crochet: Dress
This pattern is awesome because its so easy to customize for whatever your size and shape is. The dress is constructed by crocheting sideways first for the main body, then seaming that part together after you know its the right size for you.
Crochet: Sleeveless Top
This pattern is so simple to make. The squares and triangles are crocheted separately, then sewn together to form a great little tunic shape with the squares becoming a visual shaping element that emphasizes the waist. This project is easy, and requires no shaping, and only very simple increasing/decreasing for the straps. Enjoy!
Crochet: Sleeveless Top
Crochet: Strapless Top
I love corset style tops! This one is so easy to do, its worked sideways, with short rows for the waist/hip shaping so there are no complicated increase/decrease stitches to count. Very suitable for a beginner, or someone who is more experienced and just wants something with a lot of bang for an easy buck. Can be made with any bulky weight yarn...
Crochet: Sleeveless Top
This cute top pattern can be used to make a dress/tunic/babydoll top out of that tired out dress, skirt, or whatever you come up with. This pattern can easily be adapted for any size, no matter how big or small, and the drawstrings give you further options for fit. Use up old fabric and yarn! This is a perfect project for a little spring cleani...
Crochet: Sleeveless Top
This pattern turned out better than I had hoped. I had this great image of what I wanted it to look like when it was all done, and I was even happier than I thought I would be. This pattern could be adapted to use with any dress, skirt, or even just fabric that you want to use. I used an old thrift store dress that was pretty bad, but the mater...
Crochet: Earrings
These earrings are cute, quick, and can be beaded or altered in so many ways. Add another medallion to the bottom, make the medallions smaller or bigger, do it in different colors, etc. You get the idea. These are crocheted with three strands of embroidery floss, the kind that come in a six strand floss, just split into two. Enjoy!
Crochet: Headband
So, your little niece, daughter, granddaughter, neighbor girl, cousin, friend, etc. has decided she wants to join the flowered headband craze. What easier way to grant her wish than with this pattern, which also helps you out by eliminating a hundred odd yards or so of your sock yarn stash? Can’t say no to that, can you? :) I thought you’d like...
Crochet: Messenger Bag
Use this pattern to put all those little scraps of cool yarn to use, you can use pieces as short as you want or as long as you want, and any combination of yarns you want. Serious stash busting happens with this pattern! And serious satisfying creativity.
Crochet: Skirt
I have started using this type of skirt for yoga, and its wonderful! If you want to feel lovely and feminine while working out, then this might be just the project to make.
Knitting: Scarf
Why wear a scarf AND a hat? Why not wear a hooded scarf, that looks fabulous and is a style all of its own?
Crochet: Fingerless Gloves
These are a great stash buster, and can be customized to fit any handwidth. Also a blank canvas for edgings, only limited by your imagination……….!
Crochet: Cardigan
This pattern is written a little differently from most patterns. I wanted to try writing a pattern that was a little less formula and a little more conversation, but because of that it does require some level of familiarity with crochet construction and stitches. It also allows the creator to customize the size to their specifications without h...
