Knitting: Bonnet
This is a traditonal baby hat (or bonnet), worn by Andean babies and toddlers. The pattern has been reverse engineerded from pictures taken in Peru.
Knitting: Mittens
Since princess Maxima of the Netherlands wore an outfit completely made of old mail bags, the postal theme became a hype among (Dutch) crafters. Knitters don’t have to hunt for old bags. Yarn is all they need to make these postal themed mittens.
Knitting: Beanie, Toque, Hats - Other
This hat combines two simple yet beautiful lace stitches, both named after daisies. For the edging ‘chain of daisies’ is used, combined with the ‘field of daisy’ for the body. The body is bordered with another chain of daisies, followed by a striped, slouchy crown. This combination creates a hat that is both sweet and cheerful.
Knitting: Snood
The inspiration for this clever snood came from a pram hood - the fuzzy yarn means it’s just as good at keeping out the wind
Knitting: Cowl
Would you like a cowl to accompany the Tortora hat from Knitty First Fall 2011? This cowl is based on that pattern.
Knitting: Cowl
This leaf lace cowl knits up very fast. The very bulky yarn and 9 mm needles do the trick. So if you are very much in need of warmth, try Snelle Annabelle! (‘Snel’ or ‘snelle’ is dutch for fast)
Knitting: Socks - Other
Are they gnomes or are they socks? They must have ran away from a fairy tale!
Knitting: Hats - Other
Looking for a sloppy lace hat that is sturdy and femine at the same time? Looking for a lace pattern that is easy to remember, and yet interesting enough to keep you going? This hat could be the one!
