Hi, I’m Kairi.

I’m originally from the beautiful Estonian island of Hiiumaa, which is paradise on earth in the summer. I learned to knit as a child and have been knitting for over 30 years.

Long before I started publishing patterns, I was designing and knitting my own garments freehand because I wanted to wear something unique. In 2006, I turned that passion into pattern design after other knitters started asking for my designs.

I love creating timeless, wearable knits with carefully considered details, and I’m never afraid to rip back and start over if it means getting the design just right. I firmly believe that sometimes the best design decision is to unravel and begin again.

A few fun facts: I’m a knitwear designer who can’t wear wool (yes, the irony isn’t lost on me!).
