Happy holidays everyone!
This new design is added to the Contour patterns family, including Contour Hood, Contour Scarf and Contour Hooded Scarf as well.
Contour Cowl is a versatile, asymmetric cowl designed to keep your neck warm during the cold season.
It’s worked in an easy, engaging ridged rib pattern with build-in I-cord edges.
The cowl is worked on the bias, increases and decreases are incorporated into the pattern repeats to shape the cowl. Optionally – for an extra touch, you can add a crochet border in contrasting color on the top and bottom edges as one more cute detail.
It’s a perfect project to make the holiday gifts for your loved ones or just for relaxed knitting.
Contour Cowl is worked back and forth in rows on the bias, with increases and decreases incorporated into the pattern repeat and with built-in I-cord edges. Once the cowl is complete, it’s joined into a tube at the back using the Mattress stitch.
Optionally, a contrasting crochet border can be added along the top and bottom edges after seaming.
A video tutorial for this simple technique included in the pattern.
