This is a beanie style hat knitted in 3 colors of worsted weight yarn or yarns held together creating the same gauge. It has a double brim with ribbing on the inside, that gives that little extra hug and warmth around your ears. It is also part of a series, with mittens and a big wrap.
I have knitted this hat in two, or really three versions. First version with worsted weight yarns like Malabrigo Rios and Tosh Vintage. The second version with one thread unspun Nutiden yarn held together with Holst Tides, a smooth thin wool-silk yarn. I also tried to knit with Nutiden yarn held double, and that gave a lovely but slightly bigger gauge and thus bigger hat. Soft contrasts recommended, lighter shades will show the pattern better.

Version 1 Malabrigo Rios/Tosh Vintage: Around 55 grams of colour 1, 45 grams of colour 2 and 20 grams of colour 3 for both sizes.
Version 2 Nutiden by Honer and Eir held together with Holst Tides: The finished hat weighs 90 grams, so small amounts of 3 colorways. It is hard to give exact numbers since Nutiden varies. But approx. 30 grams of color 1, 25 grams of color 2 and 10 grams of colour 3 in Nutiden, and only around 10 grams of Holst Tides in matching shades.
Needles 3.5 mm/US4 and 3.75 mm/US5
