The Poppy Headband is an adorable accessory set that lets you match with your furry friends in style. This pattern features a human-sized headband and a pet-sized sun hat. It’s a very quick, beginner-friendly knit that can be adjusted for all pet sizes.

This design was a collaboration with Bara Bara Soft Wares, a local SF yarn dyer who creates beautiful American-grown wool yarn using natural dyes.

Gauge

• 13st/20rows per 10cm/4” in seed stitch

Materials

• Yarn: bulky weight yarn (or worsted weight yarn held double)
• Yarn quantity: 25-60 yards // 23-59 meters

The pink sample was knit with Bara Bara bulky yarn. It’s a soft merino yarn made from Wyoming sheep and hand dyed using dyes made from plants and bugs!
The orange sample was knit with Cascade 220 held double. (Note that yardage doubles if yarn is held double.)

Needles: 8mm/US11

The Poppy Headband is named after my wonderful dog, Poppy, who is always so willing to model all of the knitwear I’ve created for her <3
