This blanket has been more than two years in the making. The inspiration for the design comes from a Leadlight/Stained Glass Mandala that I spotted one day. I found myself looking at this Mandala, and pondering how I could make something similar in crochet. The Leadlight Afghan is the result.

In the process of making myself a dress, I found that I could not get a flower to work for what I wanted, so I played around till I made this one that worked great.

Firstly, you may be wondering why I named this ‘The Paper Bag Hat’. I did so due to the way I have chosen to close the top of the hat. It reminded me of the old-fashioned brown paper bags from my days working in a local Supermarket.
